This 1932 oil painting needed some care. There was crackling, and a new backing needed to be added to stabilize the loss of paint on the face of the painting. This art restoration was a great challenge, images were put in this video to show the art repair from the beginning until it was completed and reframed in the same frame the oil painting was originally framed. The removal of linseed oil and mastic varnish was completed successfully. New isolating coat of semigloss varnish with UV protectant mix was added at the end to protect and complete the work. I had the wonderful opportunity to actually take a look and a picture to the actual vase used in this video. This vase will stay with the painting and will be passed on for many more generations.
