Photo restoration at your door. Some of us have great pictures of our loved ones, and some of our loved ones are now gone.  I would like to introduce myself as a Springfield Virginia, I am a local artist in the Fairfax County area for the past 17 years.  Since 1999, I offered paintings in over 7 mediums, and 11 different styles of work. I began to find new areas of interest to my work.  For the past 12 years I have been interested in the photo repair part of my business and decided to learn it on my own. Clients from all over have reached out to me and wanted the opportunity to see their aged or damaged photographs from their most precious memories come alive after restoration is completed, some even wanted a frame to go with the final project but what really drives me to continue my research in software and other fine digital ways to create a new image is the final elegant image once complete. The choice is the client to choose in what surface they would like the photo printed on.  The different surfaces include archival photo paper, regular photo matte and glossy paper, and then my favorite; Giclee on Canvas.  This unique style of printing is know for its high end ink print on canvas.  It has a special shin and gloss to it that most could not tell if it was a photo or a painting. The process of cleaning a Lithograph is a true long process and commitment. Light and the environment take a big step in the acidification and foxing removal of your print. A close study of each print is recommended before cleaning art paper. Most aged prints develop mold and spots from poor storage and climate. This particular Lithograph has ongoing treatment for the foxing. Matting and backboard were also removed and archival conservation replacement will be added to preserve the print once the cleaning is complete. As the owner of Brush Strokes Fine Art LLC, servicing the community for the past 17 years.  My business does not use 3rd party conservators.  Furthermore I can cut over 2000 styles of wood frames of your choice to give you a complete and finished product saving you hundreds of dollars. My framing cost is ridiculously low!
