Artist's Marketing Strategies

Most Amazing Marketing Strategies

2017

Nowadays artists paint for pleasure and some take courses from beginners to advance, others rely on incoming revenue, some work with galleries, publishing companies, marketers, and online free advertising.

I for the most like to work hard in getting the work to different location opportunities.  I have done over 305 shows in 17 years.  Shows lasting as little as 2 weeks to 5 weeks long in different locations to name a few; near by malls, craft fairs, historical buildings, government locations, trade shows, hotels to mention a few.

For some of us Marketing Strategies is not an easy thing to do unless you have some  graphics or computer experience.  My experience has never been computers, so when I was halfway through this year, I realize my sales were hurting. I knew I had to take a different approach. I was blessed to meet an individual with much talent in this field,   who gave me a few pointers in how to approach search engines.  With his mentorship I decided to teach myself how to with online products, youtube, registered my business in Google, Bing and Yahoo, even read a book I received in Christmas; Shark Tank, and read more in forums to help me understand the work load that was ahead of me.

The cost to hire a consultant or an art dealer can be a "pretty penny".  We don't really even know if our paintings are good enough to try something like that.  Online services truly cant promise top ranking in search engines. You got it! unless you do the work nor will their strategy assure you high ranking in search engines, but your best sales person is and that is YOU!  Take a look at your strengths, and your weaknesses, write them down, and figure out how to start.  Begin by asking the question on your favorite search engine.  Be patient, and give yourself time to see the results.  For additional strategies wait to read my next post.
