Mandy Seley

Curtailed!!!

This is a page you must see!

"It's a piece for my sister and my brother-in-law, they've been wanting a picture from me that they could hang in their home. They loved going to the cherry blossom festival in DC when they lived in the area, and featured them on their wedding stationery, so I thought it would be a nice theme for a portrait-style image of them, as their respective favorite critters.

Technically it was a pretty fun piece since I got more practice using my airbrush on the background! Most of it is done in Copic markers, with some glitter pen accents on the blossoms themselves. They don't really show up in the scan but in person, there's a little bit of sparkle, and I knew Becky would like that."

David Lisle / Artist

Finally a portrait photograph of 'Badi Uzzaman,' an actor from India. We were just under the peak of Mount Waddington on the Coast Range of British Columbia working on a feature film. Badi was one of the actors I dressed daily while we were shooting. One of my best photographic portraits, 1990.

Brush Strokes Fine Art Restoration

Restoration

"This oil painting has been cherished since we were small children, and it has significant sentimental value beyond its modest purchase price. It was damaged over twenty years ago by a door falling on it, leaving two bad gouges and several deep scratches. Additionally, some paint had also flaked off due to age and dryness. We had not been able to enjoy it for all that time, and were uncertain if it could be repaired and who we could trust to perform the restoration. Anabela Ferguson, the artist who restored our painting, was successful beyond our expectations. She took the time to do the job correctly and is very skilled in color matching and canvas repair. There are no signs of the gouges or scratches. The damaged areas have been restored perfectly, in both color and texture, and the new frame complements the painting very well. Anabela is a very gifted artist and has extended her artistic talent to art restoration. We are thrilled that we'll be able to enjoy this painting for many years now, and will be able to pass it along to our children. " (author not mentioned)

Anabela Ferguson and Amazon Experience

Signed up with Amazon as a buyer and seller a few years ago. Today I bought some canvas in roll, and applied for a tax exempt for my business. The writing of the enclosed agreement said it would take 24 hours, but it came in less than 20 min.s Amazing. I am finding so much of my supplies through them. I don't have to drive 10-25 miles a day to get it anymore. Go Amazon!!!
I also heard that in a few months Amazon was going to deliver by air within 30 mins. of your transaction. They may become the next Santa in my home.
